Walter Northway Warriors (Northway, AK) backers went home thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team thwart the visiting Seward Seahawks (Seward, AK), 77-66 in a non-league contest.

The Warriors (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Birchwood Christian (Chugiak, AK). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Birchwood Christian was topped by Tri-Valley (Healy, AK), 59-30, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Seahawks battle the Lumen Christi Archangels (Anchorage, AK) in a 2A Southern contest, on Saturday, January 3. Seward will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Archangels go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 64-20 non-league win over Birchwood Christian (Chugiak, AK).
