Utah High School Basketball - Ben Lomond fells Merit Preparatory Academy

December 20, 2025: Ogden, UT 84404

The Ben Lomond Scots basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Merit Preparatory Academy Knights to 24 in the Scots non-league triumph on Saturday.

Next, the Scots clash with the Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Thunderbirds (Riverdale, UT) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, December 20. Ben Lomond will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the outing with a 3-7 record after their 47-23 non-league loss to American Prep WV (West Valley City, UT).

The Knights (3-8) will now prepare for their outing against Rowland Hall (Salt Lake City, UT). The Winged Lions go into the non-league game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Rowland Hall was beaten by Altamont (Altamont, UT), 26-25, in a non-league game.
