California High School Basketball - Montgomery held off by Cardinal O'Hara

December 20, 2025: San Diego, CA 92154

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cardinal O'Hara Hawks (Tonawanda, NY) and the host Montgomery Aztecs (San Diego, CA), observed Cardinal O'Hara's basketball team edge Montgomery by a score of 46-44.

The Hawks (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty (Henderson, NV). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Liberty edged Dominguez (Compton, CA), 55-11, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Aztecs encounter the Morse Tigers (San Diego, CA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, December 26. Montgomery will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 8-3 record after their 62-42 non-league win over El Camino (Oceanside, CA).
