Archbishop Shaw Eagles (Marrero, LA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Edna Karr Cougars (New Orleans, LA), 56-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Archbishop Shaw upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA) to play the Cajuns in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 22. The Cajuns go into the bout with a record of 9-1. Metairie Park Country Day won 56-32 in their recent non-league bout against McDonogh 35 (New Orleans, LA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 30. Edna Karr will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
