The Ascension Episcopal basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Highland Baptist Christian Bears to 35 in the non-league victory on Wednesday.

The now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Loreauville for a 2A District 8 contest on Friday, January 6.

The Bears (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Opelousas Catholic was defeated by Family Christian (Baton Rouge, LA), 57-30, in a non-league contest.
