The Ponchatoula Green Wave basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Assumption Mustangs to 36 in the Green Wave non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Green Wave now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walker for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 22.

The Mustangs (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against University Lab (Baton Rouge, LA). The Cubs enter the non-league contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, University Lab was routed by Hahnville (Boutte, LA), 69-54, in a non-league contest.
