Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bearden Bulldogs (Knoxville, TN), 74-62 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Eagles host Fairview (Fairview, TN) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 9-0.
Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Fairview Aggies (Cullman, AL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Bearden will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Aggies go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 74-63 non-league loss to Decatur (Decatur, AL).
