Concord Minutemen (Concord, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA), 51-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Concord upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Minutemen host Head-Royce (Oakland, CA) to clash with the Jayhawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 22. The Jayhawks go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Head-Royce won 60-39 in their recent non-league bout against De Anza (El Sobrante, CA)

Next up, the Gauchos clash with the Pinole Valley Spartans (Pinole, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 23. El Cerrito will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 84-53 non-league win over Hercules (Hercules, CA).
