McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets (Mobile, AL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Daphne Trojans (Daphne, AL), 61-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McGill-Toolen upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Southside (Selma, AL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Southside lost 33-19 in their recent non-league bout against Wilcox Central (Camden, AL)

Next up, the Trojans play the St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats (Mobile, AL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Daphne will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 37-35 non-league loss to Robertsdale (Robertsdale, AL).
