Ohio High School Basketball - Hurricane nips Ironton

Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Ironton Fighting Tigers (Ironton, OH), 68-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hurricane upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to Spring Valley (Huntington, WV) to play the Timberwolves in a Mountain State bout on Friday, December 30. The Timberwolves come into the bout with a record of 4-1.

Next up, the Fighting Tigers play the Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Ironton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Red Devils come into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 57-35 non-league win over Raceland (Raceland, KY).
