James Kenan Tigers (Warsaw, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC), 55-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, James Kenan upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Tigers host South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC) to clash with the Blue Devils in a 2A Conference 6 bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. South Johnston will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 71-51 non-league loss to Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC).
