The Northwest Area Rangers routed the visiting MMI Preparatory School basketball team by a final score of 58-35 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Rangers face the Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams (Bloomsburg, PA) in a Midd-Penn game, on Wednesday, January 4. Northwest Area will attempt to move on its 9-1 season record.

With the defeat, MMI Preparatory School moves to 1-6 on the year. The travel to Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA) to face the Warriors in a Wyoming Valley 2 game on Thursday, December 22. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 1-4. Wyoming Area won 62-33 in their recent non-league game against Mountain View (Kingsley, PA)
