In Wednesday's non-league outing, the St. Bernard Vikings (Playa del Rey, CA) basketball squad nipped the host Putnam City West Patriots (Oklahoma City, OK), by a margin of 54-51.
The Vikings (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against O'Connell (Galveston, TX). The Buccaneers go into the non-league outing with a 10-4 record. In their last outing, O'Connell got by Grace Christian Academy (Houston, TX), 71-50, in a league outing.
The Patriots now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Choctaw for a Oklahoma Big 10 outing on Tuesday, January 3. Putnam City West will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 55-43 league loss to Lawton (Lawton, OK). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-1.
