The Archbishop Mitty Monarchs basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Bishop McNamara Mustangs to 40 in the Monarchs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Monarchs now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sacred Heart for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 22. Archbishop Mitty will battle a Valkyries team coming off a 53-40 non-league win over St. John's (Washington, DC). The Valkyries record now stands at 9-1.

The Mustangs (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cadets enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, St. John's was defeated by Sacred Heart (Louisville, KY), 53-40, in a non-league contest.
