Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA) and the visiting Highlands Golden Rams (Natrona Heights, PA), saw Armstrong's basketball squad knock off Highlands by a count of 60-42.

With the victory, Armstrong upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The River Hawks host Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the Titans in a WPIAL 5A 2 challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Golden Rams play the Freeport Yellowjackets (Freeport, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Highlands will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
