The Pope John Paul II Jaguars basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Franklinton Demons to 24 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Jaguars now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pearl River for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Pope John Paul II will meet a Rebels team coming off a 48-34 league loss to St. Scholastica (Covington, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 1-2.

The Demons (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA). The enter the 4A District 8 contest with a 5-6 record.
