The Anson Bearcats basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host North Stanly Comets to 27 in the Bearcats non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Bearcats now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Montgomery Central for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 22. Anson will battle a Timberwolves team coming off a 58-34 non-league win over North Stanly (New London, NC). The Timberwolves record now stands at 5-4.

The Comets (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Albemarle was routed by Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 67-35, in a non-league contest.
