The Covenant Christian Cougars basketball team (Conroe, TX), dropped 54-44 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Alpha Omega Academy Lions (Huntsville, TX)

The Lions now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westbury Christian for a TAPPS 3A District 5 battle on Friday, January 12. Alpha Omega Academy will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 92-86 non-league loss to Yates (Houston, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-7.

The Cougars (9-9) will now prepare for their battle against New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 11-4 record. In their last battle, New Braunfels Christian Academy dropped by Brentwood Christian (Austin, TX), 67-55, in a non-league battle.
