Ballard Beavers (Seattle, WA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Shorewood Stormrays (Shoreline, WA), 59-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ballard upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Beavers host Franklin (Seattle, WA) to clash with the Quakers in a 3A Metro bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Quakers go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Franklin lost 47-36 in their recent non-league bout against Basic (Henderson, NV)

Next up, the Stormrays clash with the Stanwood Spartans (Stanwood, WA) in a 2A/3A Wesco bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Shorewood will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record.
