The The Leffell School Lions (Hartsdale, NY) basketball knocked off the host Briarcliff Bears (Briarcliff Manor, NY), 44-35 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Lions (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Greenburgh-North Castle (Dobbs Ferry, NY). The Knights go into the Section 1 Freelance test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Greenburgh-North Castle went down by Westlake (Thornwood, NY), 73-43, in a non-league test.

The Bears now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Valhalla for a Section 1 Conference 3A test on Saturday, December 30. Briarcliff will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 56-46 non-league loss to Haldane (Cold Spring, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 2-4.
