Virginia High School Basketball - Gatlinburg-Pittman overwhelms Central Wise

December 21, 2023: Norton, VA 24273

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders (Gatlinburg, TN) and the host Central Wise Warriors (Norton, VA), saw Gatlinburg-Pittman's basketball squad wallop Central Wise by a count of 92-56.

With the victory, Gatlinburg-Pittman upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Knott County Central (Hindman, KY) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Warriors play the Lee Generals (Jonesville, VA) in a Mountain challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Central Wise will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 48-40 non-league loss to Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA).
