Lisbon Lions (Lisbon, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Durant Wildcats (Durant, IA), 72-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lisbon upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA) to play the Golden Hawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Golden Hawks come into the bout with a record of 5-4. Mid-Prairie lost 66-62 in their recent non-league bout against Solon (Solon, IA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Anamosa Raiders (Anamosa, IA) in a River Valley bout, on Thursday, January 4. Durant will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 65-44 league loss to Northeast (Goose Lake, IA).
