Nebraska High School Basketball - Southwest overwhelms Franklin

December 21, 2023: Franklin, NE 68939

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Southwest Roughriders (Bartley, NE) and the host Franklin Flyers (Franklin, NE), saw Southwest's basketball squad wallop Franklin by a tally of 56-33.

With the victory, Southwest improves its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Roughriders host Hitchcock County (Trenton, NE) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Hitchcock County won 74-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Rawlins County (Atwood, KS)

Next up, the Flyers confront the Giltner Hornets (Giltner, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Franklin will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 48-26 non-league win over Blue Hill (Blue Hill, NE).
