Delaware High School Basketball - Howard trounces Newark

The Howard Wildcats (Wilmington, DE) basketball crushed the host Newark Yellowjackets (Newark, DE), 87-33 in Thursday's league test.

The Wildcats (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Cane Bay (Summerville, SC). The Cobras go into the non-league test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Cane Bay walloped Hanahan (Hanahan, SC), 61-43, in a non-league test.

The Yellowjackets now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Odessa for a Blue Hen Flight - B test on Friday, January 5. Newark will encounter a Ducks squad coming off a 55-53 non-league win over Caesar Rodney (Camden, DE). The Ducks record now stands at 7-0.
