Mead Raiders (Mead, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Sterling Jets (Sterling, NE), 80-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mead upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Raiders travel to Osceola (Osceola, NE) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Osceola won 71-52 in their recent non-league bout against Nebraska Lutheran (Waco, NE)

Next up, the Jets play the Pawnee City Indians (Pawnee City, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Sterling will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 41-37 non-league loss to Weeping Water (Weeping Water, NE).
