The St. Paul Swordsmen (Santa Fe Springs, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Mountain View Toros (Mesa, AZ), 51-44 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Swordsmen (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA). The Lancers go into the non-league test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Bishop Amat got by Bosco Tech (Rosemead, CA), 64-61, in a non-league test.
The Toros now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Houston Christian for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 27. Mountain View will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 62-51 non-league win over St. Pius X (Houston, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-3.
