Palo Verde Panthers (Las Vegas, NV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting St. Monica Mariners (Santa Monica, CA), 35-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Palo Verde upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Panthers host Desert Oasis (Las Vegas, NV) to play the Diamondbacks in a 4A Lake bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Diamondbacks go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Desert Oasis lost 81-42 in their recent non-league bout against Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, CA)

Next up, the Mariners play the Hesperia Scorpions (Hesperia, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 26. St. Monica will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Scorpions go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 52-35 non-league win over Thunder Mountain (Juneau, AK).
