Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Monument Valley Mustangs (Kayenta, AZ), 54-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Farmington upgrades its record to 8-0 on the season. The Scorpions travel to Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Los Lunas won 60-41 in their recent non-league bout against Sandia (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Alchesay Falcons (Whiteriver, AZ) in a bout, on Saturday, December 23. Monument Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 50-23 league win over Window Rock (Fort Defiance, AZ).
