Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, AR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Acorn Tigers (Mena, AR), 72-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mansfield upgrades its record to 11-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Elkins (Elkins, AR) to clash with the Elks in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Elks go into the bout with a record of 9-4. Elkins won 41-37 in their recent non-league bout against Cedarville (Cedarville, AR)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Caddo Hills Indians (Norman, AR) in a 2A Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Acorn will attempt to upgrade on its 17-4 season record.
