The Westfield Area Pioneers basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Amherst Falcons to 33 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Pioneers now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bonduel for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Westfield Area will meet a Bears team coming off a 39-34 non-league win over Sevastopol (Sturgeon Bay, WI). The Bears record now stands at 6-2.
The Falcons (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Newman (Wausau, WI). The Fighting Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Newman was outscored by Edgar (Edgar, WI), 42-41, in a league contest.
