The Byron Bears basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Austin Packers to 50 in the Bears league triumph on Thursday.
The Bears now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Prague for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Byron will battle a Trojans team coming off a 83-76 non-league win over St. Peter (St. Peter, MN). The Trojans record now stands at 7-1.
The Packers (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Mayo (Rochester, MN). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Mayo ran past Red Wing (Red Wing, MN), 78-33, in a non-league contest.
