Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cochranton Cardinals (Cochranton, PA), 48-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Franklin upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Knights travel to Cranberry Area (Seneca, PA) to clash with the Berries in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Berries go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Cranberry Area won 50-20 in their recent non-league bout against Commodore Perry (Hadley, PA)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 23. Cochranton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 53-27 non-league loss to Maplewood (Guys Mills, PA).
