The Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Crestwood Red Devils (Mantua, OH), 41-29 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Spartans (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Cloverleaf (Lodi, OH). The Colts go into the Metro test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Cloverleaf notched a victory over Coventry (Akron, OH), 57-18, in a league test.

The Red Devils now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Chagrin Falls for a non-league test on Thursday, December 28. Crestwood will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 53-35 non-league win over Lake Catholic (Mentor, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 5-4.
