The Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting R.J. Reynolds Demons to 60 in the Fighting Cyclones non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Fighting Cyclones now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dobyns-Bennett for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Elizabethton will battle a Indians team coming off a 57-50 non-league loss to Morristown-Hamblen East (Morristown, TN). The Indians record now stands at 4-3.

The Demons (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Florida State University High School (Tallahassee, FL). The Seminoles enter the non-league contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Florida State University High School was defeated by Page (Franklin, TN), 63-29, in a non-league contest.
