The Livingston Lions basketball team (Livingston, TX), was nudged 46-44 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Hardin Hornets (Hardin, TX)

The Hornets now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Orangefield for a 3A Region III District 22 battle on Tuesday, January 2. Hardin will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 43-30 non-league win over Kelly Catholic (Beaumont, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 10-4.

The Lions (2-18) will now prepare for their battle against Hargrave (Huffman, TX). The Falcons come into the 4A Region III District 20 battle with a 8-10 record.
