The Jonesboro Hurricane basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Manila Lions to 51 in the Hurricane non-league victory on Thursday.

The Hurricane now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bryant for a 6A Central contest on Friday, January 5. Jonesboro will battle a Hornets team coming off a 26-24 non-league loss to Marion (Marion, AR). The Hornets record now stands at 10-8.

The Lions (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against Forrest City (Forrest City, AR). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 9-4 record.
