Toms River South Indians (Toms River, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lacey Township Lions (Lanoka Harbor, NJ), 29-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Toms River South upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Indians host Manchester Township (Lakehurst, NJ) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the Lions clash with the Southern Regional Rams (Manahawkin, NJ) in a Shore A - South bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Lacey Township will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
