Nebraska High School Basketball - Mead ripped by Sterling

December 21, 2023: Sterling, NE 68443

The Sterling Jets basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Mead Raiders to 18 in the Jets non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Jets now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pawnee City for a D2 District 1 contest on Friday, December 29. Sterling will meet a Indians team coming off a 33-21 non-league loss to Tri County (DeWitt, NE). The Indians record now stands at 0-8.

The Raiders (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Osceola (Osceola, NE). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Osceola triumphed over Nebraska Lutheran (Waco, NE), 54-30, in a league contest.
