Oakland Oakers (Oakland, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Toledo Boomers (Toledo, OR), 34-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Oakland upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Oakers host Glide (Glide, OR) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Glide won 49-41 in their recent non-league bout against La Pine (La Pine, OR)

Next up, the Boomers play the Powers Cruisers (Powers, OR) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Toledo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Cruisers go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 44-42 non-league loss to Mohawk (Marcola, OR).
