In Thursday's non-league match, the host West Union Eagles basketball team scored a good 59-51 triumph over the Oxford Chargers.
In their next game, the Eagles meet the West Lowndes Panthers (Columbus, MS) in a 1A Region 4 match, on Tuesday, January 16. West Union will attempt to better on its 10-6 season record.
With the defeat, Oxford moves to 5-11 on the year. The Chargers travel to Belmont (Belmont, MS) to meet the Cardinals in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 27. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 11-0. Belmont won 76-48 in their recent non-league match against East Union (Blue Springs, MS)
