Southland College Prep (Matteson, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks (Chicago, IL), 43-15 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southland College Prep upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The travel to Stagg (Palos Hills, IL) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Stagg won 44-29 in their recent non-league bout against Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL)

Next up, the Silver Streaks confront the Clark Eagles (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Public - White North/West challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Steinmetz College Prep will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 47-32 league win over Schurz (Chicago, IL).
