In Thursday's non-league outing, the Monterey Trail Mustangs (Elk Grove, CA) basketball squad nipped the host Sacramento Dragons (Sacramento, CA), by a margin of 71-67.
The Mustangs (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against Folsom (Folsom, CA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 8-1 record. In their last outing, Folsom got by McClatchy (Sacramento, CA), 76-23, in a non-league outing.
The Dragons now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Laguna Creek for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 23. Sacramento will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 63-53 non-league loss to Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-7.
