The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA) and the host Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA), observed Bishop Garrigan's basketball team overwhelm Algona by a margin of 59-38.

The Golden Bears (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Iowa (Buffalo Center, IA). The Bison come into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, North Iowa was trounced by Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA), 68-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA) in a North Central challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Algona will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record.
