Next, the Brahmans clash with the Yates Lions (Houston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Furr will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 10-5 record after their 57-51 non-league loss to Bellaire (Bellaire, TX).

The Mustangs (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Sam Rayburn (Pasadena, TX). The Texans come into the non-league test with a 4-15 record. In their last test, Sam Rayburn was routed by Dawson (Pearland, TX), 66-56, in a league test.
