North Carolina High School Basketball - Mallard Creek can't hold off Catawba Ridge

Catawba Ridge Copperheads (Fort Mill, SC) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), 47-43 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Catawba Ridge advances its record to 4-6 on the year. The Copperheads travel to Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league match on Friday, December 27. The Buccaneers enter the match with a record of 9-6. Charlotte Country Day School won 68-35 in their recent non-league match against Daniel Boone (Gray, TN)

The Mavericks now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Concord for a non-league match on Friday, December 27. Mallard Creek will face a Spiders squad coming off a 79-51 league win over West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Spiders record now stands at 8-1.
