The Chavez Titans basketball squad (Stockton, CA), was crushed 69-41 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA)

With the victory, McClatchy advances its record to 9-3 on the year. The Lions travel to Kennedy (Sacramento, CA) to meet the Cougars in a Metropolitan Conference battle on Monday, January 6. The Cougars enter the battle with a record of 7-4.

The Titans now own a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lathrop for a non-league battle on Monday, December 23. Chavez will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 72-54 non-league win over Rancho San Juan (Salinas, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 4-8.
