Utah High School Basketball - Emery can't hold off San Juan

San Juan Broncos (Blanding, UT) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Emery Spartans (Castle Dale, UT), 71-67 in a non-league match.

With the victory, San Juan upgrades its record to 4-6 on the year. The Broncos host North Sevier (Salina, UT) to face the Wolves in a 2A Region 15 match on Friday, January 3. The Wolves enter the match with a record of 5-5. North Sevier lost 64-47 in their recent non-league match against Valley (Orderville, UT)

The Spartans now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Canyon View for a 3A Region 12 match on Friday, January 3.
