The Independence 76ers basketball squad (San Jose, CA), was nudged 46-43 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA)
With the victory, Homestead advances its record to 8-2 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Saratoga (Saratoga, CA) to meet the Falcons in a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino battle on Saturday, January 4. The Falcons enter the battle with a record of 3-2.
The 76ers now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Milpitas for a non-league battle on Friday, December 27. Independence will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 51-47 non-league loss to San Mateo (San Mateo, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-2.
