The Golden Tornadoes (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Raymond (Raymond, MS). The Rangers go into the non-league contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Raymond smashed Pass Christian (Pass Christian, MS), 43-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tartars battle the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) in a 1A Region 7 contest, on Monday, January 6. Taylorsville will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 2-12 record after their 74-33 non-league loss to Puckett (Puckett, MS).
