In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Menomonie Mustangs basketball team scored a big 84-61 triumph over the Somerset Spartans.

The Mustangs (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mahtomedi (Mahtomedi, MN). The Zephyrs go into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Mahtomedi was trounced by Stillwater (Stillwater, MN), 55-45, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the St. Croix Falls Saints (St. Croix Falls, WI) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Somerset will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Saints go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 82-66 league loss to Hayward (Hayward, WI).
